The hotel was classic with grand proportions. The room was large and had a balcony overlooking the nextdoor opera theatre (we enjoyed a wonderful performance there). The bed was large and very comfortable, the shower was powerful and there was a mini fridge. Our room, 402, was very quiet when all the windows were closed. The location was great - the shuttle bus from Fiumicino Airport dropped up at Termini Roma, main train station, and from there it was about 10 minutes to walk to the hotel. We walked about 20 minutes to the Colosseum and only 5 minutes to the most spectacular church, Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, where the late Pope Francis was recently laid to rest. There were plenty of good restaurants surrounding the hotel and a lovely cocktail bar underneath. The hotel breakfast was a wide ranging cold buffet and there was always plenty available. The small bar was a welcome addition on arrival and we took our cold drinks up to the roof terrace. The staff were efficient and very accommodating. Housekeeping was excellent!

The location is perfect, in walking distance to everywhere, as well as very close to the central train station and the bus terminal. At the same time the neighborhood is calm and silent, without crazy crowds of tourists. The staff is excellent, 24 hours front desk was a huge bonus, as we've arrived after midnight and didn't want to add a stress of not making it to the check-in to already built-up pressure of being not able to get to the city. Beds were comfy but short (yes, we're tall) but I didn't make friends with pillows. Overall it's all ok. The room has everything needed for the comfortable stay, it's very clean and the room service does its job well. Breakfast was decent.

Excellent apartments in a central location near the train station and metro, yet away from the noise. There are several high-quality restaurants and bars in the area open until 1:30 AM. A 24-hour store is available. The room includes a desk and a luggage couch. Perhaps the only things missing are a lamp and a kettle. However, there is a neet balcony overlooking the inner courtyard with a table and a couple of chairs. It's also worth noting the aesthetic design of the hall, where you can sit and relax in comfortable chairs surrounded by paintings.

Excellent location close to the train station, direct from the airport in 30 minutes. Also good for car hire if you want to get out of the city for a day. Very clean, lovely helpful staff, right next to the theatre, selection of restaurants on the doorstep. Yes the decor is a bit darker, but it is traditional Roman style, but when in Rome...... sleek skandi is boring :) Rome is a walking city and this location is excellent for most major attractions. Take your comfy shoes, get your step count up and see the city properly. We walked EVERYWHERE!

Hotel Impero was easy to get to from the Rome Termini train station, we had small cases so we could walk. There is a metro station close by and buses to get to all the main sights of Rome. The area around the hotel has many places to eat and drink, plus a supermarket not that far away. The room was a bit dated but had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Once again, excellent double glazing so when you closed the window the sounds of Rome were very muted. 24-hour reception so checking in and out is super easy.
